The RTA provides a wide variety of services to riders with disabilities and older adults. So, we are happy to pass along this good news from the CTA today.   Over the next 20 years, they will put together a plan to ensure that the entire rail system is wheelchair accessible. Nearly 70% of the CTA’s 145 rail stations are currently wheelchair accessible. But, at least 46 stations are not equipped with elevators. That’s because those stations were built more than a half a century ago – well before the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act. Learn more about these planned updates.
